I thought the midwives care had greatly improved since I was pregnant with my eldest three years ago. This time round the community midwife (I saw the same person each time which was great) seemed to have plenty of time at each appointment, unlike previously she was never running late. This made me feel like I had time to ask all the questions I needed to and because she seemed to have more time it felt like the care was more comprehensive. She had a great "bed-side" manner, very approachable, caring and professional.
Time spent explaining all parts of pregnancy preenancy care
need more chiars at ANC Ashford, St Peters
Reassurance if conerned
Thorough information if when needed. comforting
Visits at home was very good. Good advises
Improvements would be to provide a time for midwife appointment instead of having to wait for the whole day.
Consistant advices we had be given differtent advices on 2 conseatives days
Very thorough checks although I saw a different midwife at each appointment
Good staff friendly professional
I had extra appointments due to pre eclampsia during labour to monitor my blood pressure and felt reassured to be in good hands. For improvement: specific times of visits would be useful
I liked the continueity of seeing the same midwife throughout my pregnancy. I felt listened to re post concerns re previous birth and have had my wishes accomodated re this birth. I felt communication was good within antenatal service and all staff and doctors very pleasant.
The midwives I saw were really helpful and knowledgeable. The only downside was not being given a time for an appointment and some days having to wait in all day.
